Making a Difference

In this world of ours, there are so many people in need.

The government says, they are there to fill our needs.

Opportunities they call them, but talk is cheap.

Many sick or hungry, others with no place to sleep.

We are beyond shame.  Will they survive without our help?

We see them in need, in the streets asking for help.

We drive, usually looking away.

Do we feel guilty, do we give what we can away.

There’s always tomorrow, another day.

It’s time we learn, now is the time to join and make a better day.
