Making a Difference

With all these people surrounding us

It’s confusing how there are so many that need help

Spreading love and kindness sounds like an effective idea

But it seems like these days people have turned off their moral values

Instead of people coming together and lending a helping hand

Lately there have been major problems scattered around

But people think it’s not among me so why bother

Yet many selfish views have comprised most of our problems

People are always looking for the greater good

In all honesty though if people made an effort it would make a change

Truth is really what the people need

But instead were forced to tell lies for simple things

People long ago have escorted out their feelings

But now the old wonder why the young don’t act so courteous

I found out long ago that this world is very cold

My mom tried to warn me of the dangers that it holds

But me so naive always believes that I could be the one to intervene

I hate the tension that surrounds this world

People acting like wild animals or machines instead of humans

Living in this kind of world makes me very sad

Excessive problems for material things

People turning against each other for a life that is unsubstantial

Many issues circulating around me

Most of them because of something being different

All these things gives me a sense that nothing will ever change

It's difficult for me to see light through so much pain

But will always have hope and that keeps me distant

I show grace all around to keep people uplifted  

One day my thoughts and feelings granted to me will make a peaceful difference
