Making It

Everyone fears ending up as a

failure

No one talks about it and no one belives it, but what do you do when

you start to think about it? Do you panic? or maybe

feel hopless. What's important is that

everyone has a chance before it's all said and done.

Believing you can do what you want

gives you a world of options to start

You could build a house

or save a mouse

sail the ocean

or set atoms into motion

the world is full of possibilities, 

take them

imagine a world without famine or hate

giving deprived children a clean slate

I could pick up trash 

or travel the world to where there is no cash

I could save a life with medicine

or change a persepctive by just walking in

I could create a new home for endangered animals

or give a poor kid in a hot climate sandles

So many options for a bright teenager like me

A job studying the people of the world

that would be a wonderful experience to see

Just one travel to a different culture

would change my sheltered life forever 

like a flower with her pedals unfurled, 

i would become a new person, a women

with a mind that could see the world and not

just the bubble of her hometown.
