Making my Future my Present

I can see my future

It’s so close

That I can almost grasp it

But yet so far away because it’s getting blocked

Blocked by all the people who say I can’t

By all my insecurities

By my disabilities

Tough sometimes to keep going

But yet I have to rough my way through it

Especially when responsibilities have me in hand cuffs

And everyone throws more junk on me

I can’t dig my way out

It’s so dark

Like a abyss in the ocean

I can find my way to keep trudging on

So I will

And make my future my present
