Malleable Me

I am Malleable.
M A L L E A B L E
Malleable

Subject to change...
Skin and hair,
The building blocks to my facade.
Yet both subject to the changes of even the wind.

Easily influenced...
Nearly all my physical anatomy gives yield to outside pressure.
Heart and brain an empty tissue,
waiting for the outside mucus of words to infect it.

In this smog of words
It's hard to find the core, the skeleton.
Mine made of memories, family, and beliefs.
All these wrapped up on the inside.
A pretty little package hidden, and protected
For fear of society's eager hand of destruction.

With the ever looming fog of the future over head
I trust that I will remain true to myself.
But I am constantly reminded that,
Even bones can break...
