Mama
My Mama told me, I should do it for the living.
She told me, don’t forget what you’re doing has a meaning,
She told me, don’t forget about the poor when you’re winning,
Because when you started, that was you in the beginning.
Those are my Mama’s words, I’m going to love her until I die.
She’s the one who gave me life and stood by my side.
Mess with my Mama, it’ll be your finish line.
Put you in the dirt, bury you alive.
Sorry Mama, I grew up a troubled kid and I tried to stay in line.
You did all you could to keep me away from crime.
I know I messed up, always gave you a hard time.
But your words were “Mijo, it’s going to be alright”.
Mama I beg you, please, you need to drop that bottle.
That dude isn’t worth crap, you don’t even got to bother
Don’t drink your life away, he doesn’t even matter.
You did a good job raising me and my brother.
My brother is married with children, he just graduated.
I chose the wrong path, rather got medicated.
Eyes red low, I took the wrong flow.
Made my own decisions, should have listened to my bro.
Mama, I’m sorry for my transgressions in this world.
Don’t worry about me, I started living for the lord.
He’s with me than who’s against me, He gave me His Word.
Don’t worry, ma, He’s got me covered with His Sword.
I did a lot of senseless things and always failed exams.
But does that define who I really am?
Young homies want to live without a worry.
Making wrong choices, destroying your life’s story.
Don’t leave your mama childless.
It’s stressing to see a mother restless.
