Mama can't you see

Mama cant you see? All I want is for you to understand me As bad as a little kid wanting candy In this lifetime you’ve just got to see That I’m going to do my best and make money I may even start to act Mama cant you see I have this life in tact I’m not gonna go and get a desk job Cause then I’d be forced to join the mob Meaning I'm gonna go crazy And I'm just gonna get lazy Mama cant you see I'm getting off my ass Trying to make some quick cash So why won’t you leave me be Instead of keeping me away from society Which will cause me to start rioting Inside my head Thinking it’d be better off to be dead But the good lord granted me with this amazing life And I would never end it due to strife Mama can’t you see I'm smart but not a scholar But in this lifetime I will get my dollar

I wrote this poem because my mom wanted to ground me for a whole summer
