Mama I Love you
Dear Mama,
I remember when I was five and I saw you as a queen.
You called me sweet love bug and acted young, like a teen.
Your hair, your make up, your clothes
you were perfect.
You were right in every subject.
You would wach Aladdin over and over again with me and Bre
You were the key...
to my happiness.
You would say I love you love bug
and give me the grandest of hugs.... before you would leave and go with man number one.
There she goes on the run
Before I could say "mama I love you."
Now I'm ten.
I'm trying to process these men.
I still love the smell of your signiture flower bomb.
Now I see you being less of a mom.
I'm thankful for grandma for playing two roles
when you left a hole.
At ten I still couldn't be mad at you
I still said mama I love you.
Now I'm seventeen.
And sadly, I see you less as a queen.
You decided to marry man number three.
Who I guess brought you the most glee.
Unfortnatley, he brought me to see
I wish my mama loved me.
You left me for five years
with lots of unhiden tears.
You swore he bring me and our family closer to God
Truthfuly, now I just feel odd.
We fight and argue over your new hubby
Why does it feel like you love him more?
Why is it me who must walk out our front door?
I miss the time when I use to say Mama I love you
and you would say I love you too love bug.
Then you would give me the grandest of hugs.
I wish you loved me like you love your husband.
Now I've become harden.
I can't even say Mama I love you.
Yours truly,
your daughter
