That Man
He's beautiful
In a tragic sort of way
Two men
Lost in each other
All over again
It never ends
The bottomless pit they fall in
As they fall in love
All over again
There is no end
To this love
He smells like leather
And his hazel eyes
Sparkle
When he laughs
He doesn't laugh enough
That's what he thinks
As he holds him close
Holding on
To the one thing
That ever fed his hopes
Instead of killing them
He's nothing but a broken man
Damaged by the past
A ghost
Or so he was
He moved in and out
Barely there
He could feel the pain everywhere
In every pore
But then there he was
And it was just enough
To save him
From himself
So they take it
Day by day
Just another way
To cope with the pain
They both deal with
Just another reminder
It's all the same
But neither sleep with ghosts
And they're so close
Only a breath apart
And it's enough
To mend the worst off hearts
As they settle down together
In the dark
In the heat
In the passion that wraps them up
Like the strong arms
Wrapped around each other
So he breathes
He breathes out
And suddenly
It's easy
It's all going to be okay again
He doesn't know how
But right now
With his hands on him
And his lips on his skin
He knows
That no matter where this love goes
He'll never be alone
He'll never be that man
Ever again
