The Man

I stood their,
Staring.
He held out his hand,
Staring back.
I didn't know him,
And I ran.
He followed.
I started to cry,
For I was scared.
I tripped and fell,
Upon the stairs.
I got up,
And ran some more.
I ran and ran,
To the floor I fell.
I lost him,
Or so I thought.
I stood up,
And leaned against the wall.
There he was,
Holding his hand out,
Once again.
"I will not harm you." He said.
He speaks the truth,
Yet somehow I fear.
I take his hand,
And we walked to the street.
He held his hand out,
In fear of death,
And I never saw,
That man again.
