Man and the Sun

I can imagine times of ancient expeditions-

Pilgrims touch their feet onto rocky soil,

Truly a man on the moon.

The air is crystal clear,

No civilized man has yet touched it.

None has yet passed into the lungs,

Tainted it with evil,

Pushed the poison into the atmosphere-

An epidemic.

The Sun is soft and warm,

But the sky is keeping secrets,

For it knows all-

It covers the world,

While the Sun only watches from afar.

But if the Sun could clearly see,

It would not matter,

For his eyes are made of fire,

His heart an inferno

Fueled by a chemical soul.

He thrives on it-

It is the only thing that keeps him alive.

He is an explorer.

He is one with man.
