Man made of glass

Im a man made of glass

like glass I'm fragile and have been broken and cracked

Many times, but I have always been put back together

But I'm afraid that one more hit or one more drop from

Life will forever shatter me I'm so afraid that I hide from

The world and its dangers behind a mask of smiles and laughter

while saying I'm fine even though I'm not I'm scared

of the world because I have what I don't want

And I want what I can never have, and I know I'm afraid to

Wake up every day knowing that today could be the last

Hit or drop that life will give me and that I'll forever be shattered

With my loved ones forever trying

to put me back together but

Failing because I have been hit dropped broken and crack by

life to many times and even if they put me back together

I will always be incomplete and from now and forever every

hit or drop will Shatter me and in every shatter a piece of me

will go missing until there is nothing of me left to put back together

Then I’ll be nothing but a fading memory forever lost

I'm a man made of glass
