Man-made heroes

Ecclesiastes 7:29

29 This alone have I discovered: God made humankind upright,
but they have sought many evil schemes.

Man-made heroes

Always in search of heroes … how are these defined?

Are they the ones we admire, but what about God’s opinion?

Is it not as such … that what we call sublime

Just some filthy rags in Holiness dominion?

Everyone needs a hero … where did that come from?

Is that why we elevate men who are full of flaws?

Choosing second best … beating our own drums

And then in satisfaction chew on what is raw

“Who is the greatest?” … is not him who serves the most?

Are not the palaces built with the sweat of the lowly laborer?

Are not our ideas … alike a long lost ghost?

As we make up our mind to have our personal tortures?
