Man with the mat

Yesterday was one of those days

when I broke out of my everyday phase,

and saw something beautiful happen.

always so close yet so far

with no one that man could spar

to get in the pool.

another man came who had just become so famed

jesus of Nazareth, he was named

walked to the cripple.

finally Jesus said "do you want to be well?"

the cripples heart remembered all the times he fell

the times he broke.

i saw, down his cheek run, a single tear

in knowing that he had nothing worldly left to fear

for he felt Gods mercy.

immediatly he took up his mat and walked

and I did nothing at all but gawked

as he strode away.
