Man in the Moon

A cloudless sky the color purple,
with scattered stars aglow in white.

Sharing the sky with the silver moon,
and the lonely man that owns the night.

His eyes gaze down on lovers,
that gather in his glow.

Holding hands, and stares,
that his eyes will never know.

They revel at his beauty,
enamored by the beams.

And surely he returns the stares,
while longingly, he dreams.

Of days where he as well,
will know the hand of love.

And no longer wait alone,
in the moon that shines above.
