Man must prevail, or suffer

Man must prevail, or suffer the throes of my lamentation.
Suffer my teeth peeling away their taut skin, and thrashing the inner self that cowers within.
Suffer my gnarled fingers cracking their constitution, and slurping out the pride.

Suffer
all that was once beautiful,
all that was once bright,
all that was once just passed as any other defecation.
An indiginity only the vanquished could know.

All I'd ask from you as you layed in waste is understanding. Empathy for my
woes, laughter for my jests, cheer for my triumphs. Have pity for the fallen, and
those who have been cast away.

For in that we will forever share a commonality.
