A Man with No Regret

I am courageous

And why? Because I’ve been infected with love that’s contagious

So powerful it’s outrageous

And people come to me like

“This guy, he just can’t be right”

At which point I point out that I am bright

Maybe even brilliant

With a faith that is resilient

And did I mention that my sense of love is diligent?

So they ask me

“How can it be?”

To which I reply

I am a witness

Flawed in many ways but always striving to be excellent

Because perfection is an invalid standard

No man can reach out and touch it

But he can see it, oh yes he can

So you see, I’m a courageous, brilliant, witness

Kinda like the moon

Bold enough to rise after watching the sun set

And reflect that same light so no man forget

I can tell you I live with love

I am a man with no regret
