Man in the Track Suit

Dear Man in the track suit,

Your tall stature followed with your marron stripes that cascade from your scowl to the creamy white soles that connect your enormous pride with something that is so forgiving, green, and tender.

I ask that man to not look at me as another mass, but as an individual.

One that does not add neither subtract his or the ideas of others, in malice, to criticize or destroy the creative thinking of others, but instead ignite the will that each being of this planet holds within us.

I ask the man not to trap me.

Stop me like a storm in the way of my destination.

I ask to look past your known understanding, and to look upon and expand the mind past human expectations and societal norms. I ask him to connect with his athletes to share common knowledge.

The distrust and fear of the unknown is our greatest weakness, and by challenging these ideas you not only change yourself but others that are affected by you.

You the man in the track suit.

Sincerely,

The Athelete
