To the Man with a Trek Ahead

Sky to stone and stone to stream

A seamless spotting of color,

A city bathed in sunset.

And yet

A man

Solitary, slumped, and serious

Prepares for the climb

From the shadowed staircase

To the sun kissed sanctuary.

Standing solid

The one streak of sky surrounded.
