The Man Upstairs

An entity that I have never seen, I wonder if he is very tall or lean, He definitely could not be mean, Meeting him is only possible in a dream. However, his precence is always here, He is in everything I hear, He is in everything I fear, And is in everything far and near. Most importantly he resides in my heart, He has been with me from from the start, Can't even think to forget a being so smart, The relationship between us will never part. Having showered all his blessings upon me, I have been very lucky, you see, Lucky enough to have food and money, And a family as sweet as honey. So what I would want a lot, When I'm left alone to rot, After all the fights I had fought, Is to have God in my thought.
