The Man Upstairs

We call you the one and only

We say we were so lonely

In times of need we call you phony

When we call we say homey

Last night I called for some help and nothing came my way

I talked so long with you felt as if I wrote an essay

We call you the man upstairs cause we never seen you

This year got a new girl no thanks to you

Our relationship is gone like a cig in an ashtray

I hit therapy last year they said get your shit together

Y'all say he gives life but all I see is death

I feel like garbage and I want him to take my breath

I sit here staring at my brother who is an addict to meth

Wishin the man upstairs would give him sudden death

Looking from heaven with his mind full of heth

I learned to fuck school nobody gives a shit about you

You learn one thing then told to find another

English! Fuck that, if you hear these bars you know I passed that

They teach you about God, telling you he is the one and only

Says he is our friend so why can’t we call him homey.

This is why we call you the man upstairs.

I was considered shit,

Considered unfit

My life was all a skit

Always considered a misfit

This music was told to lose it

Thought I would throw a fit

But they all hypocrite

Took a break from this shit

Now I’m back to recommit

Keep fighting they say, The end is near

Depression is fake, get your fuckin head clear

Just stop that shit mid stride, like a fuckin mule deer

All these rappers throwing the N word everywhere

The moment I do it, they jump me, huh? How fair

My parents say their here for me, but are they aware

My body is here but my mind is elsewhere

My sister gets away with every fucking thing,

But does she know that she gives me a nightmare
