To The Man Who Has Everything
To the man who has everything
Oh isn't he a special one
With wits, athleticism and the ability to sing
Oh isn't he one to stun
So everyone would and visit him for a bit
And he did what he could he was nice like that
And so people would just sit
And listen and then he said goodbye with the tip of his hat.
But along came a time when the man who had everything
Was stuck in a rut and needed some advice
So he made his call, I told you he could sing
To say everyone rushed to his call would be imprecise
So he waited and waited for he knew people were busy
Till finally someone came and gave their two cents
But the man made no sense, said he was dizzy
And then he stumbled on, leaving the perfect man in suspense
And one by one people trickled in
But sadly it was all for nigh
For they would get upset, they thought his problem was akin
To them it seemed as harmless as a fly
Can't you do everything they would always cry
And the man would just sit there and sigh
He couldn't make them understand that plight
Was something beyond their short sight
So he struggled with his problem and stopped helping others
And the other people became smothered
With all of their fights and quarells it seemed
That things were getting worse than they had dreamed
So they decided to write a letter and wrote
To the man who has everything
Why do you have to gloat
So much when you should be acting like our king
Now help us solve all our problems
Like you have always done
So they sent him the letter with all its columns
Believing it would all work out in the long run
But one day the walked in his house for he had not repsonded
And saw that his problems were greater that they had imagined
Of course this prompted
Them to examine
What it must of felt like to be
The man who supposedly had everything
