Manifested in Words

A puff,
And a breeze,
A snuff,
And a sneeze,
The imagination,
It is like these things
A fleeting frustration
Whose ballad will ring
Only through creation,
But how to manifest all this?
Only with aching words
And a dive into the abyss
Of a million birds
Whose ballads all cry and sing
The songs of your mind,
And their flapping little wings
Show your heart aligned
With what your lone soul can bring
To all of mankind.
The stroke of a brush,
The exhaustion of letters,
I work in a hush,
Yet feeling so much better
Once all the words are written,
And imagination is set free.
Call me one who is smitten,
But my heart, mind, and soul jump in glee
When I am able to breathe
And never feel like I'm naive.
My passion will seethe,
And I will choose what to believe.
