Man's Best Friend

His gift to her was unconditional love

It was a merry season with green, red, and white

Platered in the air

But the 24th was not full of joy and warmth

But replaced with remorse

The grim reaper paid a visit

As she ran in fear the rain pierced her skin

Ahead she saw the car that changed it all

It was green

Not the kind of green on a christmas green

But the green on the grass of a burial ground

The helpless four legged creature crossed

And in an instant ceased to exist

Kneeling on the floor was she, tears with tears rushing like waves

She realized that her best friend was gone.
