Man's Will

To the humane eye

A diamond is of the greatest worth

So crystalline, unbreakable

Knowing its untimely value since birth

A solid form of perfection

Unattainable to the figure with hands

Living on in immortality

The highest pedestal, where it stands

The sorrow of it all

Rust is what’s best of our ability

Falling apart, so brittle

The ultimate truth of our stability

The mimicry of blood

The weaker fight to hold against strife

One threat is all it takes

Before it breaks under the weight of life
