Many people know my story

Many people know my story but know how it started,

growing up as a child I can't say that I enjoyed it,

Living in a home it wa just me and my mother,

No real man in the house all we had was each other,

My mom steady working and gone all night,

So I started doing things that I knew wasn't right,

Being blinded by all the smoke there was no way I could see,

Went from making all A's to making straight D's,

The so called friends that I had they didn't no hope,

Only left with 2 choices go to the pin or sell dope.

A lot of this seems fake but yet it was real,

my mom sacrificed it all even if it meant giving me her last meal,

when things started getting worse I jsut got down on my knees,

started calling out my God sayign Lord help me please,

Eventually I got away, and my life changed forever,

My Uncle and Aunt took me in for the good and for the better,

Living in Florida I can admit it was fun,

But my journey wasn't over ithad really just begun,

Then we moved to Texas awe man what a bummer,

couldn't stand all the heat the drought lasted all summer.

Moved to Pflugerville, and started Pflugerville high as a freshman

trying to get myself together and make a good first impression

Before I evenknew it the school year had ended,

went from barely passing my state exam to being recommended.

I changed schools one more time, and this time HHS

home of the hawk nation better than all the rest.

I've made a lot of great friends and memories over the last 3 years

looking back where I started brings me to tears.

No matter how many seniors I know talk about school and how they hate it,

When all of Class of 2015 walk across that stage we can finally say we made it.
