Many times

Many times the world has seen someone standing alone.

Many times the world has seen someone without a home.

Many times a smile could have gone a long way.

Many times there were nicer things to say.

Many times the world has seen dispair and walked away.

Many times there is hope lost for better days.

Many times... Many times... This goes on and on.

A ripple effect in a simple pond.

But ripples don't have to be cruel creatures,

no ripples can be so much greater.

Perhaps now is a time for kindness to wake.

Perhaps now is the time for the cycle to break.

So don't act in a way to hurt,

but let your focus be on some good to exert.

Soon there may be more ripples in our favor

and the ripple effect will be ours to enjoy and savor.
