March

I stand there the light is so bright it's blinding, there's people on my left and right, but I feel as though I am alone, I feel as though I can’t move, that I’m paralyzed

with fear

with joy

with anticipation

then next thing I know there’s a voice booming and you would think the entire would could hear it, my heart starts to speed up, boom

boom

 boom

there’s a count off then the competition begins, the drum beat to my heart and I close my eye and do what I can do best march.
