Marching Along Proudly...

The smell of strong musty tobacco in the air,

Feelings of guilt not understanding what freedom meant to them,

All around people screamed:

"Freedom for the people and democracy...democracy... democracy. Communist down…down…down."

For a world that is deemed unfair into their eyes reaches into mine.

What has the world come to?

This world belongs to the future filled with peace.

I feel empowered to fight and lead the strike.

I screamed along,

"Freedom for the people and democracy...democracy... democracy. Communist down…down…down."

One day I will be the change,

As I marched on proudly holding the flag,

I call my home.
