Mariette, My Mariette

It has been a year, and yet

here we are, perfect  couplet
memories we can't forget.

Mariette, my Mariette,

to say I love you is true

Yet often I forget to

remember what all you do

Because it's in the action

which words can only fraction

which you show me, but which I,

I fail due to distraction

So here is that which I do

written down for none but you

words they are, but action too

All for you, My Mariette

But do not fret, nor upset

For I still say, "I Love You."
