Marimba
Marimba,
Thank You
For moments of comfort,
For smiles,
For strength,
For tears and joys.
Thank You,
You gave me strength with unheard words.
You gave me voice in song and talk;
You accepted my strengths and weaknesses.
Most importantly,
You taught me to be unique.
You allowed my imperfect pitch.
You revealed beauty in my symphony,
Despite my ongoing struggle.
As I grow older,
You perform Your tricks,
With sweet instrumental tones and lyrics
To unite people.
Thank You for being YourSelf.
And thank You for accompanying me in our duet.
