MARINE

MARINE

I have a soldier lost at sea

Drifting away as his mind would be

I await this soldier

Who I adore

Upon the rising shore.

Wishing for a storm to bring him back to shore

Dreaming if this never happened

The smell of the salty air

With shiny seashells there.

Sands bury as if it were him

The seas bares my heart within

Waiting on this ocean sea

For the soldier I hope to see.

My name is Adallah I am 19 and will be attending college at PennState University. I currently live with my father and 3 younger siblings. And I been writing poetry since 7th grade Im not exactly sure what got my interested in poetry(maybe it Edgar Allen Poe) but after awhile I found out that my mother has written poetry herself when she was young. My career that I want to start is around Computer Engineering and maybe a writer as a side job to publish my poems.
