A Marine To Be

Dear my sweet brother

Though we are far and far

Distance has no place

In our doting hearts

Your graduation day is closer than it seems

A few more weeks and you will be a Marine

But until then

When home seems tempting

Just think of the day you recieve your emblem

Oh the pride to come

When the sky is dark

And there is time to think

Look up at the stars

We can discern the same scene

And maybe that can bring you to peace

But if I tell you one thing

Let it be

Don't give up

You've worked so hard

And this is all you have ever wanted

So keep your head up

My future Marine
