Marked for Heaven

To some it’s a moment,

A wonderful birth.

To others a life,

That never touched the earth.

An infant so sweet,

And pure of heart,

Marked for heaven,

From the very start.

You came into this world early,

Long before you were due,

You fought hard to stay here,

But upon angel wings you flew

We only had you for a second,

Barely any time at all,

Your face was so innocent,

Your hands and feet so small.

So to some it’s a moment,

A wonderful birth.

To others a life,

That never touched the earth.

An infant so sweet,

And pure of heart,

Marked for heaven,

From the very start.
