Marred Matriarch

It’s so different from what it used to be. It’s been altered: its visage changed. Is this irreversible? Shall this be forevermore? The fertile earth transmogrified into tormented soil… The streams of crystal corrupted by vile poison… The air of angels banished by smog… or miasma? They ruined this land, and they’re desecrating more. Spreading their curse, defiling our beloved meadows, vales, and oceans. Far beyond being bitten, the motherly, nurturing hand of the earth has been crippled, abused. The mother cries, and wonders why her children would treat her this way. After all, she is the one who raised them, and she provides everything they have. Such foolishness. Such lunacy.
