Married for a Reason

My life is filled with adventures taken on a whim

Although our relationship didn’t have the effects of being out on a limb

Right from the moment we met there was something special in the air

Retiring my single days wasn’t filled with anxiety or despair

It was like taking a breath since the day of my birth

Enchanted by the chance to romance my angel on earth

Diving in deep into a fantasy come true

Finding my true love was only part of what I wanted to do

Orbiting the celestial passage of joy was now there to pursue

Requiring you to be my wife was the other part

As genuine happiness only comes from following ones heart

Rowing down this stream was no longer going to be a mere dream

Every day from here on out would be filled with reasons to beam

As you gave me an eternal season to smile

Spring of life was set to bloom without denial

On a cold winter night in the oddest of all places we met

Never looking back with regret but growing deeper with each sunset
