The Mask

All you see is a mask

But can you really say

That what you see is who I really am?

You see what I want to show

There's a lot you don't know

about the girl you have class with everyday

I'm quiet, awkward and shy when you meet me

So when you get the chance to see:

The loud me

The funny me

The me that laughs at jokes that aren't even funny

The Me that shines when I'm not hiding

Under a facade

The me that doesn't have anything to hide

Feel special

Because it's rare when I am truly me

with no mask to hide under.
