Mask.
Every day I put on the mask,
While everyone else seems to pass,
It is such a daunting task.
I've prayed many prayers, but didn't bother to ask,
Why everyone was so miscast.
Every day I put on the mask.
They carry on with broken clasps,
Knowing not where their road will end.
It is such a daunting task.
I have the answers just at my grasp,
But for fear of failure they remain hidden.
Every day I put on the mask.
So they continue to walk through the overcast,
A litte weaker with every passing glance.
It is such a daunting task.
And I sit at half-mast,
Among the ruins of the past.
Every day I put on the mask,
It is such a daunting task.
