Mask
I'm falling,
just waiting for the impact to shatter the molding.
Outside so paper thin,
But you can't see the sadness within.
The days fly by with barely a wisper,
A promise once hopeful, burning away.
Can't feel the heat through the icy film.
The paint drying,
Sufficating.
I can't feel what I don't know.
A numbness so deep,
The world seem's flat and colorless against a dark shadow.
Pain, a long time friend and welcomed house guest.
A cold stare, hidding behind a toothy grin.
A familiar face in an ever growing forest.
Word's falling without thought or reason,
Little white lies landing on deaf ear's.
Letting your feeling's show through, treason.
Streaks of lonelyness, invisibale tears.
Only because you can see through the season.
