The Mask

You look at me

you see a smile

but if you looked inside

you would see a frown

I hide

i hide behind the mask

I hide behind the fake smile

I was scared of what

you think of me

I put on a fake smile

I put on a fake me.

you took the bate

I kept up the mask

you think you know me

the me that is not me

no one knows

the face behind the mask.

I cant show it to anyone

it is scarred, briused, dying

I took of the mask one day

and behind it was

nothing

i lost the real me

you think you know me

the me that is not me
