The Mask
Behind this smile
that you all see,
their lies a girl
who's trying to be.
She puts up a front
that seems so strong
but on the inside
she can't hold on for long.
So she puts on the mask
and lets others believe
she is okay,
but can she make it through the day?
Brave on the outside
but fragile within
the girl YOU see
hardly exists.
The mask hides
what she feels
or maybe it's
protecting the girl from having to deal.
