the mask that almost won

The sun rose as did I, tired and unhappy. I put on the mask to hide who I really am. I may seem happy “inside” but I'm really not.

The mask starts to crack, I'm going to show the real me; and I'll finally be free.

Sadly , the mask was on too long and it’s sojourned. The cracks have slowly been repaired with all the pain and despair.

I guess the mask won’t break so I will never prepare for the future. As the darkness fell a small beam of light shot out of the ground. I run to it, and start digging, as fast as I can.

The ray of light had grew brighter till the ground started to break, the darkness was fading away, the light has started to fight back. I walk back as the sky began to show color, for the first time. Finally, the mask is weak

I pull as hard as I can, but I'm still not strong enough. Then, I feel someone helping me, once the light hit the mask; I saw what I lost, and that was hope.

Hope was strong, and she was keeping me from giving up as we tried to pull the mask off, I looked in her eyes and I saw everything I was losing, but the more I saw the more I started to realize

I'm stronger than the mask, and I will not hide who I really am inside, I will not let it take away the friends I have; the mask is almost off.

The mask still won't give up, but then the fire in my heart started to grow and burn hotter than the sun. The mask began to melt, just a little more and I'll be free, the mask held on trying so hard to keep me locked up, but then passion started to help us pull the mask. Now, the mask gave up, it has done the one thing I wouldn't do, As I look around with my eyes, I see I'm not the only one with a mask. I look around in shock to see I was not alone and everyone will need help. Now that I beaten  my own mask, I will help people take their masks off too, because we shouldn’t be wearing a mask.
