"Mask and Words"
Hiding behind my mask.
Not worth my time to show How I feel.
Just smile.
That fake smile.
Don't show them that deep inside your hurt.
Don't show them that their words cut deep into your heart.
They won't understand.
Not really.
Just look at my smile.
You can't tell much.
I look like a very happy girl.
But take a peek at my eyes.
I dare you.
They will show you how I really feel.
I could take a basketball to the head and be fine.
Yes it might sting or leave a bruise.
But words hurt more.
Hurtful words leave the worst scars.
Ones that rarely heal.
Ones that rarely disappear.
