The Mask of Society

Every single person has a mask, a mask for each emotion

But some people do not wear all of their masks

Not because they don’t have all of these feeling

But because they are afraid to show some of their feelings

They are afraid they will be judged because of they way they feel, and why they feel that why

Sadly it is true, society judges

So instead of asking why that person is feeling that emotion

We judge them

Why?

…I wish I knew the answer

Some of these people put on their mask with a smile on it

Even though they are crying…

Dying…Not surviving

Under that mask

But society assumes since they have a smile on their face

That they are happy

Some people only take of their mask when they are alone

Others don’t take them off at all

They think it’s easier just to keep the mask on and pretend that they are okay

Even when they are drowning in painSome times we don’t get to see what is under the mask…but then it’s too late

The person who always had a smile on their face is gone

They couldn’t wear a mask anymore

So they made it so they don’t have to

They left…they left not to end their life

But to end the pain, the pain that we couldn’t see

And now they are gone

But we could have stopped it if only we had seen it

Oh well

I guess we will just put on are joyful mask

And pretend nothing happened

Again
