Masked

With Shadows of black
I'll hideaway my face
with nothing to show
I'll mask the fear
with paint or plaster

Never will you see
the scars that hide
far beneath the skin
with shadows of black
I'll mask them all

The beauty the moon
gave me is gone
No more will the sun
leave me raw
Once more, I'll hide

Everything is covered
by a mask
one of pain, plaster,
or shadows of grey
Where I'll forever hide
