The Masked Tooth-Murderer
Popcorn ceiling closing in, lush chair cementing me in place.
Knuckles gripped, pinky and thumb doing the jive.
The blood is rushing to my head, the blood is pooling in my head.
Tears push and shove out, I resolve to halt their escape.
I peel my eyes away, but too late! The glimmer is unmistakable.
Its elongated horn ready to penetrate my pink gums.
Tense joints, tender pleas of mercy, tight circling of my toes.
The masked tooth-murderer blocks the light and moves in.
The cool prick, the spewing of sharpness in my cheek, and then...
It's over.
Even numb, the red in my cheeks is plain as day.
The mask conceals a smile that shows in the Doctors eyes.
Relaxation finds each muscle individually.
Until next time.
