Masking

I feel so alone My heart slowly turning into cold stone And as I pray and wish for just a friend just one I realize just how dumb I look and I need to be done Because no one else is being hurt No one elses heart is in the dirt I wish I could just cry Wish someone would just try But I mask the pain and loneliness well Make believe I am just swell Why allow my vulnerability to show to you So you can just use it against me like you always do? I have no more tears But i always have that fear That if I allow this mask to slip Will it make you change and flip? So I keep it up, to old and new Super glued so no one will ever see How anything ever meant and how I use to be
