Masks
Everyday there's a mask.
A new mask.
A different mask.
I can't take them off.
I can't go out without a mask.
I can't wake up without a mask.
The real me,
the pure me,
is me.
I wanted to cut hair.
Shape it,
recreate it.
Make someone feel beautiful.
I was eight when I had this dream.
Six months in,
six months deep.
It wasn't me.
It wasn't a mask I wanted to wear.
I quit.
I left.
I threw in the towel,
and told them all I'm not coming back.
I realized me,
I found me,
it's weird,
it's fun.
A smile that can light the whole world.
I care.
I care about people.
People fasinate me.
Sociology.
Psychology.
A complete different mask.
Nothing like I expected.
Not a mask I thought I had.
Masks change.
Masks evolve.
They come and go.
Everday there's a mask.
A new mask.
A different mask.
