Masks

Day after day

Put on my mask

Hide my emotions

Smile!

Can’t be sad

Feelings are taboo

Here where everyone is perfect

I don’t have to try

Everything comes easily

Don’t let them know

How hard life can be

All the late nights

I spend

Keeping up my grades,

Catching up on trends,

Making sure my friends are happy

Have to have everything

It all has to be easy

No one can know

How often I cry

When the stress becomes too much

Good grades

Good looks

Good friends

Gotta have it all

And if you don’t,

Well then you’re a loser

If you decide to give something up

Just to survive

Guess you’re just not good enough

Don’t take things so seriously

In other words,

Don’t have feelings

Day after day

Put on my mask

Don’t let anyone know

How much it all hurts

I enjoy writing, whether it's a short story, a poem, or a fanfiction. In my spare time I paint as much as I can, and I love to read. It's important to voice your thoughts and feelings, whether it's out loud to a real person or quietly with a pen and a piece of paper.
