the masks i paint
the mask I paint on everyday,
it's a custom now and here to stay
a different one for friends,
who seem to talk about nothingness to no end,
and another for a family who thinks they know me,
all I want right now is to break free,
from this messed up society,
all the expectations I surely cant fulfill,
all the disappointment I will cause for weak will,
waiting for the ball to drop,
waiting for a clean way out,
wondering on this hard white cot,
when I'll find water to end my drought
